Prime Minister Narendra Modi arrived in Ahmedabad for the inauguration of India’s first Vande Metro service, which will run between Bhuj and Ahmedabad. The Railway Ministry has renamed the service to Namo Bharat Rapid Rail ahead of the official launch. The service will be flagged off virtually from Bhuj railway station at 4:15 pm. The Western Railways described the Vande Metro as a significant advancement in intercity travel, aimed at enhancing commuter comfort and stimulating economic growth in Kutch.
