Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched phase 2 of the Ahmedabad Metro Rail Project and travelled on the metro from Section 1 to GIFT City station. Accompanied by Gujarat’s governor, Acharya Devvrat, and Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel, PM Modi interacted with young passengers during the ride. The metro extension was developed by the Gujarat Metro Rail Corporation with the support of both state and central governments. Apart from the metro launch, PM Modi is set to unveil several key projects in Ahmedabad, including India’s first Vande Metro, now renamed as Namo Bharat Rapid Rail.
