The Supreme Court on Tuesday refrained from revealing details of the CBI’s investigation into the rape and murder of a Kolkata doctor, warning that “any disclosure will jeopardize the process.” Chief Justice DY Chandrachud said, “Making a disclosure today... will alert someone in doubt to up their guards.” The CBI submitted a status report addressing concerns from previous hearings. The court acknowledged the five-day delay in the CBI taking over the case but emphasized efforts to “unearth the actual truth.” The officer in charge of Tala Police Station has already been arrested in connection with the crime.
