EY India Chairman Rajiv Memani denied claims that work pressure led to the death of 26-year-old employee Anna Sebastian Perayil. Anna’s mother had written a viral letter accusing the company of overworking her daughter. Memani said Anna was given tasks similar to other employees and worked with EY for just four months. He called her death an "irreparable loss" for the company. Memani expressed condolences to Anna’s family and stated that EY is taking steps to improve the work environment. Anna had joined EY in March and was excited about her first job.
