A laboratory report has confirmed the presence of animal fats and fish oil in the sacred laddoos offered to devotees at Tirupati temple in Andhra Pradesh. Tests by NDDB CALF, a private laboratory, detected foreign fats including palm oil, fish oil, beef tallow, and lard in the ghee used to make the laddoos. The findings validate allegations made by Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu against the previous YSR Congress government. The report's revelations have sparked concern among devotees and temple authorities, prompting calls for an investigation into the use of substandard ingredients.
