The Mumbai Coastal Road will be open for traffic every day starting September 21, according to the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC). Previously, the road, which connects Marine Lines and Worli, operated from 7 am to midnight only on weekends. The BMC reported that 92% of the work on the Dharmaveer Swarajyarakshak Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj Mumbai Coastal Road has been completed. However, the Mumbai traffic police have issued a ban on heavy vehicles using the road and prohibited vehicles from stopping. Additionally, they have restricted people from alighting, taking pictures, or filming on the coastal road.
