A devotee from Khammam district, Donthu Padmavati, has claimed she found tobacco wrapped in paper inside a laddu received as prasadam at the Sri Venkateswara temple in Tirupati. The discovery was made on September 19 when she was preparing to share the prasadam with her family. Padmavati expressed her dismay, stating that such contamination in a religious offering is deeply upsetting. This comes after recent allegations of animal fat being found in the temple's laddus, which has led to political controversy in Andhra Pradesh. Temple authorities have yet to respond to the latest claim.
