Security forces in Manipur have seized a significant cache of arms and ammunition from three districts amid ongoing ethnic violence. A joint operation by Manipur Police and Assam Rifles resulted in the recovery of two .303 rifles, one 9mm pistol with a magazine, cartridges, four hand grenades, two detonators, and a country-made mortar from Loiching Ridge in Kangpokpi district. Additionally, forces from the state police, BSF, and CRPF confiscated two improvised mortars, known locally as 'pumpi,' in Gothol village, Churachandpur district. Another search in Thoubal district led to the seizure of several grenades and ammunition. No arrests have been reported.
