Junior doctors in West Bengal are considering resuming their strike after assaults on medics at Sagore Dutta Hospital near Kolkata. Three doctors and three nurses were attacked following a patient's death on Friday night. The doctors claim the state government has failed to fulfill safety promises made during earlier protests. They plan to observe the Supreme Court’s decision on their safety in the RG Kar case, with a possible "cease work" starting Monday evening. Junior doctors had partially resumed work on September 21 after protesting the rape and murder of a doctor at RG Kar Medical College.
