Congress leader Rahul Gandhi condemned the detention of climate activist Sonam Wangchuk and approximately 120 supporters by Delhi Police at the Singhu border. The group was demanding sixth schedule status for Ladakh. Gandhi criticized Prime Minister Narendra Modi's government, stating, “This ‘Chakravyuh’ will be broken, and so will your arrogance.” He emphasized the unacceptability of detaining elderly citizens who peacefully protested for their constitutional rights. The police had imposed prohibitory orders to prevent gatherings, detaining Wangchuk and others at nearby police stations, where they were held temporarily. Gandhi demanded accountability for the police's actions against the peaceful demonstrators.
