Dr. Mark Chavez has pleaded guilty to conspiracy to distribute ketamine linked to Mathu Perry’s death in October 2023. During a Los Angeles court appearance, Chavez admitted supplying ketamine to Dr. Salvador Plasencia, who provided it to Perry through a fraudulent prescription. Perry died due to the anesthetic's acute effects and subsequent drowning. Chavez faces a maximum of 10 years in prison, with sentencing set for April 2, 2025. He has surrendered his medical license as part of the plea deal. Four others have also been charged in connection with Perry’s death.
