The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has charged Sanjay Roy with the rape and murder of a trainee doctor at Kolkata's RG Kar Hospital on August 9. The victim was found dead in a seminar room after a 12-hour shift, suffering from 25 injuries. CCTV footage shows Roy entering the room at 4:03 AM. While he claims innocence, stating she was unconscious upon his arrival, the CBI suspects he is misleading investigators. The ex-principal of the hospital, Dr. Sandeep Ghosh, has also been arrested for tampering with evidence and attempting to mislead the victim's family.
