Ratan Tata, the legendary business leader and chairman emeritus of Tata Sons, passed away at 86 on Wednesday. Maharashtra has declared a state funeral and a day of mourning in his honor. His mortal remains will be kept at Mumbai's NCPA Lawns from 10:30 am to 4:00 pm for public tributes, followed by last rites at Worli crematorium. Home Minister Amit Shah will attend on behalf of the Centre. Chief Minister Eknath Shinde praised Tata as a "living legend" who elevated the Tata Group. Government buildings will fly the national flag at half-mast.
