Mumbai mourned the passing of Ratan Tata, industrialist and Tata Sons Chairman Emeritus, who died at 86 in Breach Candy Hospital. A procession led by Union Home Minister Amit Shah and Maharashtra CM Eknath Shinde carried his mortal remains to the Parsi crematorium in Worli. Business leaders, politicians, and film stars attended the funeral, with a ceremonial guard of honour and his pets joining the service. Tata’s contributions, including reviving Air India and launching the Tata Nano, were celebrated. Tributes poured in, including from PM Modi and President Murmu.
