Junior doctors at Kolkata’s RG Kar Medical College continued their hunger strike for the sixth day, demanding justice for a colleague's rape and murder. Aniket Mahato, one of the striking doctors, was hospitalized after his health deteriorated and remains in critical condition. Six other doctors’ conditions are also worsening, with further protests expected. They are demanding action from the state government, including the removal of Health Secretary NS Nigam and improved hospital security. Senior doctors have urged the protestors to end the strike, warning of serious health risks.
