The US confirmed that "CC1," implicated in the foiled assassination plot of Khalistani terrorist Gurpatwant Singh Pannun, is no longer an Indian government employee. US Department of State spokesperson Matthew Miller expressed satisfaction with India’s cooperation in the ongoing investigation. India previously arrested "CC1," identified as Vikram Yadav, who was allegedly involved in the plot targeting Pannun in New York. Nikhil Gupta, charged in the case, was extradited from the Czech Republic. Pannun’s group Sikhs for Justice remains banned in India for subversive activities.
