Eight coaches of the Agartala-Lokmanya Tilak Terminus Express derailed at Dibalong station in Assam's Dima Hasao district on Thursday. The incident occurred around 4 PM in the Lumding-Bardarpur Hill section of the Lumding division. Fortunately, no casualties or major injuries were reported. Railway officials immediately dispatched accident relief trains and medical teams from Lumding to supervise rescue efforts. Train operations on the single line section were suspended due to the derailment. Assam's Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma confirmed that the state government is coordinating with railway authorities to handle the situation.
