A 21-year-old man, Darshan Hegde, was killed after being hit by a Mercedes in Thane, Maharashtra, on October 20. The incident occurred late at night while Hegde was returning home after buying food. The car, reportedly heading towards the Nashik Highway, fled the scene after the accident. Police have since seized the vehicle, but the driver, identified as Abhijit Nair, remains at large. An investigation is underway to locate the accused.
