A YouTuber named Irfan in Chennai is in trouble for filming his wife's delivery and personally cutting the umbilical cord in a hospital. The video, which received over 1.4 million views, has since been removed. The Tamil Nadu health department has lodged a police complaint against the doctor and the private hospital involved, claiming violations of the National Medical Commission Act. Health Minister Ma Subramanian stated that both Irfan and the hospital acted unlawfully by allowing such actions in the operation theater. The directorate of medical and rural health services has also issued a show-cause notice to Irfan regarding the incident.
