The Bombay High Court has suspended gangster Chhota Rajan's life sentence in the 2001 murder case of hotelier Jaya Shetty and granted him bail. The court ordered Rajan to provide a bond of ₹1 lakh. Despite being granted bail in this case, Rajan will remain in custody due to other criminal cases against him. The decision was made by a division bench of Justices Revati Mohite Dere and Prithviraj Chavan. Rajan's release from the murder case marks an important legal development, but his ongoing legal troubles will keep him in jail for the time being.
