A search operation was conducted in Tangmarg and various areas of Jammu and Kashmir by the Indian Army and Police to locate suspects linked to recent terror attacks. On October 24, two Army soldiers and two civilian porters were killed when terrorists targeted a military vehicle in Baramulla. Previously, on October 20, a doctor and six construction workers were killed in an attack on a tunnel construction site along the Srinagar-Leh national highway in Ganderbal. The attacks raised alarms over targeted killings, as terrorists fired indiscriminately at laborers returning to their camp, affecting both local and non-local workers.
