Over 150 people were injured, with eight in critical condition, in a fireworks accident during the Kaliyattam festival at Anjootambalam Veerarkavu Temple in Kasaragod, Kerala, early Monday. The incident occurred around 12:30 AM when a nearby fireworks storage facility caught fire. The injured were transported to hospitals in Kasaragod, Kannur, and Mangaluru for treatment. Senior district officials, including the collector and district police chief, quickly arrived at the scene. Authorities have launched an investigation to determine the cause of the fire as local communities came together to support the victims and their families.
