Security forces in Jammu and Kashmir's Akhnoor region resumed an operation on Tuesday, killing a second terrorist after an encounter broke out near Jogwan village. Three terrorists initially opened fire on an army convoy near the Line of Control on Monday, prompting a response from special forces and NSG commandos. One terrorist was killed on Monday evening, while another was neutralized Tuesday morning following explosions and heavy gunfire near the Assan temple. A four-year-old army dog, Phantom, died after being hit by gunfire during the operation. The area remains under security as forces work to eliminate any remaining threats.
