Jagdish Uikey, a 35-year-old from Maharashtra's Gondia district, was detained in Nagpur for allegedly sending over 100 hoax bomb threats to the Prime Minister's Office (PMO) and various flights across India. Uikey, who sought endorsement for his book Atankwad-Ek Tufaani Rakshash ("Terrorism: A Demonic Storm"), turned to false alarms out of frustration when officials ignored his requests. Nagpur DCP Lohit Matani reported that Uikey's emails included warnings about “sleeper cell activities” and language borrowed from U.S. alerts. Investigations are ongoing, with authorities scrutinizing his digital history, finances, and psychological state. Delhi Police has joined the probe.
