In Bengaluru's Kengeri area, 30-year-old Sandhya was fatally hit by a speeding Mercedes driven by a drunk 20-year-old, Dhanush, on Saturday. The incident occurred while Sandhya was crossing the road, and Dhanush, under the influence of alcohol, lost control of the vehicle. After attempting to flee, he was apprehended by bystanders and later arrested by the police. Dhanush has been charged with culpable homicide and is in judicial custody. His father, a private bus company owner, had recently purchased the luxury car. The accident raises concerns about drunk driving in Bengaluru.
