Three Indian Army soldiers were wounded in an encounter with terrorists in the Keshwan forests of Jammu and Kashmir's Kishtwar. The clash erupted during a search operation conducted by the Army and local police after terrorists, suspected to be responsible for killing two Village Defence Guards (VDGs) earlier this week, were spotted. This marks the third such encounter within 24 hours in the area. Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah expressed condolences to the victims' families and urged security forces to tighten counter-terror measures to prevent further attacks on civilians and security personnel.
