Indian Army officer, Naib Subedar Rakesh Kumar, was killed, and 3 soldiers were injured in a gunfight with terrorists in Kishtwar, Jammu and Kashmir. The encounter happened on Saturday during a joint counter-terror operation by the army and police in Bhart Ridge. The clash began around 11 a.m. when search teams intercepted terrorists in a forested area. This operation follows the recent killing of two village defense guards, Nazir Ahmad and Kuldeep Kumar, whose bodies were found nearby. Security forces have since intensified their search across the Kuntwara and Keshwan forests to locate the terrorists responsible.
