Air India Completes Merger with Vistara, Creating Unified Airline with 5,600 Weekly Flights

Air India has officially completed its merger with Vistara, creating a unified full-service airline that will operate over 5,600 weekly flights and serve 90+ domestic and international destinations with a fleet of 208 aircraft. Under the new structure, flights will carry the code ‘AI,’ with Vistara aircraft adopting a four-digit flight number starting with “2.” Vistara’s loyalty members have been transferred to Air India’s “Maharaja Club” program, and Singapore Airlines now holds a 25.1% share. This merger marks a significant step in Tata Group’s consolidation of its airlines, building a robust network of 8,300 weekly flights across 312 routes.
