Major explosion at the Indian Oil refinery in Mathura, Uttar Pradesh, left eight workers injured, three of whom are in critical condition. The blast occurred Tuesday evening as workers restarted the Atmospheric Vacuum Unit (AVU) after maintenance. The explosion triggered a fire, with sounds heard from kilometers away. According to officials, two workers sustained 50% burns, two had 40% burns, and four others suffered burns covering 20% of their bodies. The injured were first taken to City Hospital and later transferred to Apollo Hospital in Delhi for specialized treatment. Relatives raised concerns over the plant's safety protocols.
