Delhi Minister Kailash Gahlot Quits AAP, Cites Failed Promises and Controversies

Delhi’s Transport Minister Kailash Gahlot has resigned from the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) and the Council of Ministers, citing unfulfilled promises and controversies. In his letter to AAP leader Arvind Kejriwal and Chief Minister Atishi, Gahlot criticized the failure to clean the Yamuna River and controversies like the Sheeshmahal bungalow issue. He also highlighted the constant tussle with the central government, which he claimed hindered Delhi’s progress. Gahlot, under investigation by the ED and CBI, called AAP a party straying from its values. BJP reacted sharply, terming AAP a "sinking boat" ahead of the 2024 Delhi elections.
