Three people were killed and several injured as violent clashes broke out during a court-ordered survey of the Shahi Jama Masjid in Sambhal, Uttar Pradesh. Protesters opposing the survey pelted stones at the team, prompting police to use tear gas. The survey, initiated after allegations that a temple was demolished to construct the mosque, was completed under tight security. Police assured strict action against stone pelters.
