Farmers' Protest March From Noida To Delhi Today Over Compensation Demands, Security Tightened

Farmers from Uttar Pradesh are marching from Noida to Delhi today, demanding increased compensation for acquired land and benefits under the new agricultural laws. Led by the Bhartiya Kisan Parishad (BKP) and allied groups, the protest began at 12 PM near Mahamaya Flyover. Key demands include 10% and 20% plot allocations, 64.7% increased compensation under old laws, rehabilitation for landless farmers' children, and settlement of populated areas. Police have erected barricades and diverted traffic on Noida-Delhi routes, urging commuters to use the metro. Emergency vehicles remain prioritized. Farmers from 20 districts, including Agra and Bulandshahr, are participating.
