Farmers Tear-Gassed, Detained at Haryana Border During ‘Dilli Chalo’ March

Farmers resumed their 'Dilli Chalo' march from the Shambhu border in Haryana on December 6, nine months after their initial protest. Clashing with authorities, they broke through one layer of barricades before being met with tear gas from the Haryana Police. Security was tightened as farmers, led by key leaders, attempted to march toward Delhi demanding a legal guarantee for MSP and other reforms. One farmer was detained. Internet services were suspended in Ambala, and authorities imposed strict gathering restrictions, as farmers pressed for renewed government talks on their demands.
