Haryana Police used tear gas and force to stop Punjab farmers at the Shambhu border, sparking outrage among Congress leaders. Partap Singh Bajwa, Punjab's Leader of Opposition, condemned the BJP-led Haryana government for "barbaric and undemocratic actions" against the peaceful march. The farmers, part of the Marjeevda Jatha, were en route to Delhi demanding the legalisation of Minimum Support Price (MSP) and other reforms. Several farmers were injured as police enforced prohibitory orders issued by the Ambala administration. Bajwa criticised the Haryana government for suppressing constitutional rights, emphasizing that MSP reforms would benefit farmers nationwide, including in Haryana.
