The UK will host a major two-day summit on artificial intelligence starting Tuesday, focused on growing concerns around advanced AI systems. Attendees will include Prime Minister Rishi Sunak, US Vice President Kamala Harris, EU chief Ursula von der Leyen and UN chief Antonio Guterres. Sunak said the goal is to work towards an international approach to ensure AI safety through collaboration. He proposed creating an expert panel similar to the one for climate change. Sunak said he will push for the first international statement addressing AI risks.
