Indian Navy Craft Loses Control: Cause of Mumbai Boat Accident Revealed

A boat accident off Mumbai's coast on Wednesday killed 13 people, including 3 Indian Navy personnel. The Navy said the accident occurred when one of its speedboats lost control due to an engine malfunction. The boat collided with the Neelkamal ferry, which capsized. 101 people were rescued, with survivors being taken to nearby hospitals. Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis confirmed the deaths of 10 civilians and three Navy personnel. Defence Minister Rajnath Singh offered condolences and said search and rescue operations were underway, involving naval helicopters, crafts, and Coast Guard boats.
