Indian cricket captain Rohit Sharma emphasized that leadership in the team must be earned, citing the examples of MS Dhoni and Virat Kohli. He stressed that the next generation must work hard and understand cricket's significance before assuming leadership. Rohit dismissed retirement rumors, attributing his absence in the Sydney Test to poor form. He praised Jasprit Bumrah's leadership qualities, calling him "class" and commending his evolution over the years. "It’s an honor to captain India," Rohit added.
