The Enforcement Directorate (ED) received approval from the Ministry of Home Affairs to prosecute AAP chief Arvind Kejriwal and former Delhi Deputy CM Manish Sisodia in the Delhi liquor policy scam. This follows Lt Governor VK Saxena’s nod, allowing ED to frame charges ahead of the February 5 Delhi Assembly elections. The Supreme Court previously ruled that prosecution of public servants requires prior sanction, leading Kejriwal to challenge the chargesheet in the Delhi High Court. The ED alleges Kejriwal as the "kingpin" in the case, intensifying political and legal challenges for AAP leadership.
