After a 70-hour manhunt, Mumbai Police arrested Mohammad Shariful Islam Shahzad near Thane for stabbing Bollywood actor Saif Ali Khan at his Bandra residence. Shahzad, a Bangladeshi national living under a false identity, attacked Saif and others, demanding ₹1 crore. Saif sustained six stab wounds, requiring emergency surgery to remove a blade fragment from his spine. The attacker reportedly scaled a wall and entered through the fire escape. Saif's wife Kareena Kapoor Khan and staff intervened, leading to the intruder's escape. Police formed 30 teams to capture the suspect, who is now under custody. Saif is recovering well.
