Supreme Court Grants Custody of Atul Subhash's Son to His Mother

The Supreme Court ruled that the four-year-old son of Bengaluru techie Atul Subhash, who died by suicide in December, will stay with his mother, Nikita Singhania. The decision came after the court spoke to the child via video link. Subhash's mother, Anju Devi, had sought custody, claiming the boy's whereabouts were hidden after Subhash's death. However, the court noted the child had spent little time with his grandmother. Subhash had accused his wife and in-laws of harassment in a suicide note, sparking debate on misuse of protective laws. The mother will now move the child to Bengaluru as per court orders.
