In a major operation, 14 Maoists, including top leader Pratap Reddy, were killed in Chhattisgarh. The operation was a joint effort by Chhattisgarh Police, Odisha Police, and the CRPF. Reddy had a Rs 1 crore bounty on his head. Union Home Minister Amit Shah praised the forces for their success, stating that Naxalism is "breathing its last." The operation began on January 19, with security forces recovering firearms, ammunition, and IEDs. Shah emphasized that this operation is a big step towards a Naxal-free India. The search operation continues in the region.
