Two women died, and 21 others were injured when a bus carrying Maha Kumbh pilgrims crashed into a truck on the Agra-Kanpur highway in Uttar Pradesh’s Etawah district early Monday. Police said the bus, traveling from Prayagraj to Noida, collided with the truck after the driver fell asleep. SSP Sanjay Kumar Verma confirmed the deceased were Meera (55) and Neelu (35) from Noida. Injured passengers were taken to the district hospital. Authorities used a crane to clear the wreckage. "We are ensuring proper medical treatment for the injured," police stated. Investigation is ongoing.
