Delhi Assembly elections ended with a win for the BJP. The party secured 48 out of 70 seats. This victory ended AAP’s decade-long rule. It is the first time in 27 years that the BJP wins in Delhi. Sources say a woman MLA may become the next Chief Minister. The new CM will be chosen from the newly elected legislators. Four women candidates won their seats by large margins. Rekha Gupta, Shikha Roy, Poonam Sharma, and Neelam Pehalwan are top contenders. The BJP may also name a Deputy Chief Minister from a diverse background. Final decisions will be made soon.
