Virat Kohli made history by becoming the first cricketer to play 300 ODIs alongside 100 Tests and 100 T20Is. As India faced New Zealand in their ICC Champions Trophy 2025 Group A match, Kohli became the 7th Indian and 18th overall to reach the 300-ODI milestone. Before this match, he had scored 14,085 runs in 299 ODIs, setting multiple records as the fastest batter to cross 8,000 to 14,000 runs. Kohli, coming off a century against Pakistan, managed only 11 runs against New Zealand. India and New Zealand remain unbeaten in the tournament.
