A 35-year-old journalist and RTI activist, Raghavendra Singh, was murdered on the Lucknow-Delhi National Highway in Uttar Pradesh's Sitapur district. On Saturday afternoon, assailants reportedly rammed his motorcycle, causing him to fall, and then shot him three times. Initially perceived as an accident, the case was reclassified as murder after doctors at the district hospital discovered bullet wounds on Singh's body. Singh had left home earlier that day after receiving a phone call. The police have yet to determine the motive behind the killing, and no First Information Report (FIR) has been filed at this time.
