Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar was admitted to AIIMS Delhi’s Cardiac Department on Sunday after experiencing chest pain and uneasiness. Prime Minister Narendra Modi visited him at the hospital and later posted on X, stating he had enquired about Dhankhar’s health and prayed for his speedy recovery. President Droupadi Murmu also contacted Dhankhar’s wife, Dr. Sudesh Dhankhar, and was relieved to learn that he was recovering well. Sources indicate the 73-year-old leader is stable and under observation. Due to his condition, it is unlikely that he will preside over parliamentary proceedings on Monday.
