Violence Erupts in Nagpur Over Aurangzeb Row, Vehicles Torched, Police Injured

Clashes broke out in Nagpur’s Mahal area after a protest demanding the removal of Aurangzeb’s tomb turned violent. Stones were thrown, and several vehicles, including two JCBs, were set on fire. Explosions were heard as vehicles burned. A fireman was injured while trying to douse the flames. Police rushed to control the situation, and additional forces were deployed. Deputy Commissioner of Police Archit Chandak said the violence started due to miscommunication. Maharashtra CM Devendra Fadnavis urged people to stay calm and not believe rumours. Authorities are working to restore peace in the city.
