Vaibhav Suryavanshi, just 14, made history as the youngest-ever player to debut in the Indian Premier League, replacing injured Rajasthan Royals captain Sanju Samson. In a dazzling entrance, the teen opener smashed his first ball for six and scored 34 off 20 balls against Lucknow Super Giants. Suryavanshi’s fearless innings included three sixes and two fours before he was stumped by Rishabh Pant. Recently signed for £105,000, he also holds the record as the first IPL player born after the league’s inception in 2008. His selection follows a 58-ball century for India U19s against Australia U19s in Chennai. (PC : Reuters)
