Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah strongly condemned the Pahalgam terror attack, calling it “an abomination” and the worst civilian-targeted assault in recent years. “The perpetrators of this attack are animals, inhuman and worthy of contempt,” Abdullah said on X. He added, “No words of condemnation are enough.” The CM said he was flying back to Srinagar immediately and had spoken to Health Minister Sakina Itoo, who is at the hospital overseeing arrangements for the injured. “Needless to say, this attack is much larger than anything we’ve seen directed at civilians in recent years,” he stated.
