Following the deadly terror attack on tourists in Pahalgam that left over 20 dead, including two foreign nationals, security has been intensified across Jammu. Officials confirmed that Union Home Minister Amit Shah was briefed by J&K CM Omar Abdullah in Srinagar. Several groups, including the Congress and right-wing outfits, have called for widespread protests on Wednesday. A high-level security meeting, chaired by Divisional Commissioner Ramesh Kumar and IGP Bhim Sen Tuti, is underway to manage the situation. Additional paramilitary forces have been deployed to sensitive areas to maintain law and order and prevent any escalation.
